Sophie Turner slipped on classic fall footwear during the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
The “Game of Thrones” star arrived to the Stade de France in Paris on Saturday, where she presented the Webb Ellis Cup in its signature Louis Vuitton case with rugby athlete Dan Carter; the occasion took place ahead of the final match of the Rugby World Cup, held between South Africa and New Zealand. During the moment, Turner slipped on a pair of Louis Vuitton’s $2,310 Donna boots, complete with smooth black leather uppers and narrow toes.
Turner’s style featured a knee-high silhouette with tall shafts, providing her with added coverage during the match. Her footwear was finished with 3.3-inch block heels, providing her with a subtle, supportive height boost.
Boots like the actress’ are a top style during the fall season, due to their high coverage and versatile shape; pairs in black, brown and tan iterations are the most popular, released annually from brands including Vince Camuto, Charles & Keith and Marc Fisher.
The boots provided a sharp finish to Turner’s ensemble: a long-sleeved, light beige Vuitton top. For a graphic touch, the actress’ matching miniskirt was covered with a scarf-like print of white, black and yellow ropes, chains and anchors, accented by glossy black leather paneling. Her attire was elegantly finished with gleaming Vuitton jewelry — including gold LV Crown hoop earrings, a gold LV Eclipse Pearls pendant necklace and an LV Symphony ring — and the French label’s rose gold and steel Tambour watch.
When it comes to shoes, Turner’s style merges retro and edgy aesthetics. The star often dons Louis Vuitton pumps, boots and sandals on and off the red carpet, as she’s one of the brand’s ambassadors and muse to designer Nicolas Ghesquière. However, she’s also appeared at events in heels from Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo and Stuart Weitzman over the years. When off-duty, she regularly wears Yeezy slides, Black Star cowboy boots and Nike sneakers.
