CAT Footwear is officially dipping its toe into the world of collaborations. The workwear brand has just debuted its first co-branded shoe, crafted with Parisian brand Both.
The duo’s resulting style, the Gao Pioneer boot, features a practical silhouette with a sharp, sleek edge — fully inspired by the power of innovation and the unknown future. The style’s round-toed upper features smooth and textured paneling, creating a multi-dimensional effect cinched by woven cord laces and finished with rubber toe caps.
Complementing the boots with a vibrant flair are neon green “Both” and “Caterpillar” lettering on each shaft, as well as matching “Cat” logos on each tongue — similar to Cat Footwear’s original work boots.
The style is available in two colorways, leaning into versatile wear with a neutral palette: one a warm tan, the other a sharp, dark black.
The Gao Pioneer style’s boldest feature, however, comes from its thick rubber soles — the “Gao” silhouette that’s become a signature of Both’s own footwear over the years. The chunky base features a cleated outsole, bringing it a utilitarian edge. Its soles, however, are newly cast in a marbled effect — one black, white and gray, the other tan, burnt red and pale red — for a streetwear-worthy treatment.
You can currently find the Gao Pioneer boots on Cat Footwear’s website.
