Taylor Swift brought bejeweled glamour to her 34th birthday — with sky-high heels to match.
While out in New York City on Wednesday, Swift toasted the occasion with friends including Blake Lively, Miles Teller and Keleigh Sperry. For the occasion, the Grammy Award-winning musician soared in a sleek pair of Aquazzura platform sandals. Swift’s $860 (was $1,250) Atelier Plateau style featured smooth black velvet uppers across its open-toed silhouette, which featured knotted front straps subtly lined with gleaming crystals.
The singer’s sandals were complete with a thick platform base, as well as a dynamic set of squared 5.5-inch heels. Swift’s soaring shoes brought a sleek flair to her outfit for the occasion, which hailed from British brand Clio Peppiatt: the label’s $2,382 Night Lucian minidress, which twinkled from night-sky embellishments crafted with black and silver crystals.
Swift layered her attire with a soft black faux fur coat by Stella McCartney to ward off the winter chill. The “Eras Tour” star finished her look with Aquazzura’s silver crystal-covered $1,795 Galactic mini tote bag, as well as a glittering diamond necklace and small post earrings for a truly bejeweled edge.
Swift’s Aquazzura heels wholeheartedly embraced the platform sandal’s versatility, showing the style in an especially luxe version from its fabrication and embellishments. Coupled with the shoe’s practical base and sleek silhouette, the singer’s birthday heels solidified all of the platform sandal’s top qualities — while still making a celebratory statement with a dash of glamour.
