A$AP Rocky and Rihanna were out in Los Angeles last night following the rapper’s appearance in court on Jan. 28. He is pleading not guilty to charges of shooting his former friend A$AP Relly.
A$AP Rocky was still wearing his formal ensemble from the court appearance, a suit including a burgundy tie, which was paired with glossy black shoes. He also wore a classic beige trench coat coat which was belted at the waist. Rihanna, meanwhile, modeled the controversial denim-on-denim aesthetic often referred to as a Canadian tuxedo. She wore a jean jacket buttoned to the top with a pair of baggy blue jeans; she switched up the color and texture of her ensemble with a statement-making black leather overcoat.
The “Love on the Brain” singer appeared to be wearing a pair of snakeskin-embossed Amina Muaddi boots she stepped out in back in December. She looked to be wearing the brand’s Barbara boot, which features a pointy toe and a stiletto heel. In addition to offering extra height and sharpness to her look, the shoes contributed an earthy blend of colors to complement her blue-on-blue denim look. From Neiman Marcus, the boots retail for $1,820.
It comes as no surprise that Rihanna opted for Amina Muaddi boots yesterday. She’s a friend of the designer’s and a major fan of her shoes — she just starred in a Savage x Fenty campaign wearing Amina Muaddi’s Giorga Crystal Sandals in pink satin. Not only does she wear her shoes, but she’s also collaborated with her in the past.
Among other Muaddi moments, the musician-entrepreneur went to the Boys & Girls Club of Harlem in December wearing a beige version of the Veneda Stretch boot, a cozy ribbed knit shoe with a rounded toe and heel. She also debuted the brand’s Anok mule ahead of its release in 2024.
