Brunt believes you should be able to get quality work boots without spending a ton of money on them. As the brand continues to gain momentum in a competitive industry, the design team is launching something different—the Brunt Toe.
WHAT IS THE BRUNT TOE?
The Brunt Toe doesn’t refer to a type of internal safety toe. Instead, it’s an exterior addition designed to improve the overall durability of the boot. Since leather can wear through even with proper care, this upgrade is a TPU toe section. In addition to its durability, it is also non-marring, so you don’t have to worry about the surfaces you’re working on.
There are a couple of differences between this and other options. For one, it’s not a bulky toe cap. It’s also not something you have to send away to add on after the fact.
While the focus is on the toe, there’s also a small section on the heel. For those of you who instinctively use your toe or heel for opening doors, Brunt has you covered on both sides.
The good thing is these aren’t features that affect the fit, comfort, or feel of the boot. It wears just like boots without it and it doesn’t restrict the ability to have a moc toe design.
BRUNT TOE WORK BOOTS PRICE
Currently, the Brunt Toe is only available on the Marin composite toe with sizes ranging from men’s 7 to 14. It runs $169.00 and you have a 30-day return window.
THE BOTTOM LINE
The Brunt Toe is a great feature for folks who work on their knees frequently or who otherwise wear through the front or heel of their boots often. It’s not for the person that wears through the top of the toe, though. For that, you want a full toe cap. So, if your boots normally look a bit naked on the front or back, give these a shot and maintain some dignity.
