NewJeans made waves during the UL:KIN fashion show at Seoul Fashion Week on Tuesday.
Accompanied by chunky white socks, the K-Pop stars donned a variety of ankle-length and knee-length steel-toed combat boots from Vetements in rugged chunky styles.
Each member’s shoes were constructed out of rugged black patent leather, hence the glossy finish of each pair, and featured matching black lace-up silhouettes accompanied by futuristic utilitarian silver buckle closures and bulbous and exaggerated toes.
Additionally, every member’s boots included thick platform-style soles with a reliable tread that offered the star a non-slip feel. The footwear offered each singer’s look a welcomed grungy touch that complimented their ensembles.
The hitmakers were styled in a variety of Y2K-inspired styles mainly comprised of preppy miniskirts in neutral tones or tattered denim accompanied by corseted and cropped tops featuring frayed hems, bow adornments and striking camo. Each girl’s look was cast in neutral and pastel tones coupled with voluminous ruffled detailing and hints of edge.
NewJeans is a South Korean girl group comprised of members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein formed under Hybe Entertainment. The group officially debuted in 2022 with the single “Attention” and has since risen to superstardom thanks to tracks like “Hype Boy” and “Super Shy.” The K-pop act is no stranger to the fashion world.
The oldest member of the group Minji was appointed as a global brand ambassador for Chanel in February while Vietnamese-Australian member Hanni was tapped as a brand ambassador for Gucci in 2022. She is also a global make-up ambassador for Armani Beauty.
Korean-Australian member Danielle was announced as a global ambassador for Burberry in January and a YSL Beauty ambassador in March. The “Cookie” singers are just one of many K-pop acts to be given ambassadorship status by a prominent brand.
