Shakira sat down for an interview with Leila Cobo at the Hits Don’t Lie: The Superstar Q&A event held yesterday during Billboard Latin Music Week in Miami. The Colombian songstress celebrated her song “Acrostico” going 4x platinum and “Copa Vacía” reaching 2x platinum in the U.S.
The “Hips Don’t Lie” songstress stepped out in a daring pair of black thigh-high platform boots from Giuseppe Zanotti that traveled up the expanse of her legs, stopping mid-thigh. The boots were crafted out of black high-shine patent leather that transitioned into fainty slouchy uppers with triangular pointed toes all stacked atop lofty platform soles.
The set was finished off with 2 to 3-inch block heels, offering the hitmaker a subtle boost in height. As we transition into the fall and winter seasons, more top celebrities will be adopting boots of all kinds into their wardrobes. From leather to suede, booties are an extremely versatile style to have in any closet.
Matching her boots, Shakira was outfitted in a black leather minidress from Alex Perry. The garment was belted and form-fitted and featured a strappy bodice and a flared skirt. The dress was crafted of glossy patent leather, much like her shoes. Further accessorizing her look, the “Waka Waka” singer donned a variety of gold and diamond-encrusted jewelry including a chunky chain necklace. Shakira’s blond tresses were parted down the middle and styled in face-framing waves.
Shakira’s shoe style often varies from athletic to sleek. On the red carpet, the “Te Felicito” artist opts for sandals, rounded and peep-toe pumps with thick platform soles and towering stiletto heels, hailing from top brands including Sergio Rossi, Christian Louboutin and Versace. Her off-duty ensembles feature similarly daring boots, wedges and strappy sandals by Saint Laurent, Prada and Esquivel. Shakira can also be spotted in sneakers by Premiata, Nike and Asics.
