First lady Jill Biden shared the spirit of giving on Dec. 13, when she hosted a U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots event in the East Room of the White House.
Biden was dressed in a formal ensemble consisting of a gray sequined double-breasted blazer worn over a white ribbed knit dress with a collar laid over her jacket’s lapel; additionally, the blazer featured a subtle plaid pattern and the dress included a long flowing skirt with a scalloped edge. Biden’s accessories included elegant necklaces and statement-making earrings.
The first lady donned a pair of black heeled boots to go with her holiday-ready outfit. The shoes featured a classic almond toe as well as a modest block heel; they appeared to be a crafted with a non-reflective material like suede. With the top of the shoes partially covered by her skirt, they ultimately grounded her ensemble in a chicly understated manner.
Whether its the Myconia ankle-height style from Manolo Blahnik, the taller D-Town Heeled Boot from Christian Dior or the Saige Ankle Bootie from Sam Edelman, a versatile black suede boot with a block heel can be found at a range of prices across various brands.
Biden recently wore shoes from Christian Dior while in attendance at the reopening of Notre Dame de Paris, a fitting choice as the luxury fashion house is based in France; she modeled a pair of bow-adorned slingback pumps hailing from the brand’s J’Adior line. Her formal style often involves pumps, like the dazzling silver Jimmy Choo pair she wore at the Democratic National Convention over the summer. Also in the summer season, she donned espadrille wedges and a pair of fun frog-adorned sandals. See more of the first lady’s style below.
