Vice President Kamala Harris is blazing the presidential campaign trail in her signature outfit, a power suit and pointed pumps. The presumed Democratic presidential candidate was seen on July 30 on her way to Atlanta for a campaign event, dressed in a light blue pantsuit and shiny beige stilettos.
Harris owns power suits in several shades across the color spectrum; this particular monochrome ensemble was a pastel shade of blue, with both pants and jacket in the same hue. The blazer was designed with a classic lapel and was fastened with one button across a neutral white shirt. The straight leg pants featured a crisp crease down the front, contributing to her professional aura. Harris accessorized with elegant jewelry, including a pearl necklace and pearl earrings.
Harris previously wore a similar light blue ensemble, perhaps the same one, for the White House Easter Egg Roll this year. That day, she paired the sky-colored outfit with another neutral-hued pair of shoes — pointed beige ballet flats with silver buckle hardware on the toe. This was a departure from her usual pointed pump, which she typically slips on for a formal engagement.
Harris switched up the color scheme of her outfit with a classic neutral-toned heel. The signature pump silhouette is known to feature a sharply pointed toe, a dramatic arched sole and a narrow heel. Meanwhile, the vamp extends not far beyond the toes and the sides and back of the foot are covered by an enclosed design. Crafted in a leather material with a soft shine, Harris’ shoes were a versatile tan color that easily complemented her pantsuit. The classic pump is a favorite among many women in politics and similarly powerful positions.
While Harris regularly wears heels, the footwear she is perhaps most closely associated with is Converse. While campaigning alongside President Joe Biden for the 2020 election, Harris was often out and about in a pair of Chuck Taylors. She would frequently pair black or white low top All Star sneakers with a blazer for a preppy yet casual aesthetic. Since President Biden dropped out of the 2024 presidential race earlier this month and endorsed Harris for the job, her connection to Converse is gaining popularity online again.
