THESE RED-HOT BOOTS WERE MADE FOR CHANNELING ‘COWBOY CARTER’

The Fashionista team loves Beyoncé — which means that of course we’re following her style as she enters her “Cowboy Carter” era. Cowboy hats are one star of the show, but Queen Bey is also elevating boots and chaps to a new level of popularity. That’s how I stumbled across Tecovas’ red-hot Abby boots, which, to me, capture the bold energy her album promises so well.

The Abby boots sit right below the knee, with a 10-row butterfly stitch pattern, a classic Western detailing. The two-inch heel gives them a boost in height, plus a nice sound to them when you walk (or dance). While they come in a variety of shades, the crimson colorway is my favorite — it’s a standout, confident hue.

As someone born and raised in the city (shoutout to Chicago), I never cared much for the cowboy look… but if anyone can influence me, it’s Beyoncé. If you’re also just now getting in on this aesthetic and like something that pops, these red boots are a solid choice. When “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “Jolene” come on, I’ll be somewhere in New York City stomping around in these.
